Takeoff Technologies, a Massachusetts-based tech company, is the creator of the world’s first automated micro-fulfillment center (MFCs) that transforms the way people access groceries. Our solution provides retailers with the most cost-efficient way to fulfill their online grocery orders, using automated, hyperlocal micro-fulfillment centers.

As a Product Manager, this individual will work on initiatives spanning various aspects of Takeoff’s solution suite, including inbound receiving, inventory management, automated and manual picking and packing, and manager visibility tools. This individual will develop a primary subject matter expertise in a subset of our product and use this SME to answer stakeholder inquiries, participate in product roadmapping exercises and advise other teams working on related features.

This individual contributor is comfortable getting their hands dirty in the data and details to help drive initial value assessment, KPI definition, feature refinement and prioritization, value positioning, validation of business impact, and operational adoption. This individual is a critical problem solver with strong analytical skills who can translate product and engineering-driven projects into a value-driven backlog of executable work and able to effectively manage this backlog alongside competing priorities without impacting commitments. This individual is excited to collaborate with engineering counterparts to define work complexity, is able to clearly define deliverables and their business value, and effectively work with necessary individuals across the organization to ensure work is delivered quickly, with high transparency, and the right level of quality. This individual is a clear and proactive communicator, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and is eager to partner with stakeholders to drive adoption of new features, gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to analyze their success, and incorporate this analysis into future considerations for their team to prioritise.

This is a hybrid role where some time will be spent in our Pune office and some time spent working remotely. The expectation is for this person to be in the office while in hybrid mode.

Some of the experience you will bring to the table:

  • BS Degree required; grocery, food service, or supply chain background preferred.
  • 4+ years product management experience in an Agile environment.
  • Critical problem-solving skills to break down technical and business problems to an actionable list of prioritised work.
  • Demonstrated ability working with stakeholders to clarify business problems, identify improvement opportunities, and represent business interests during feature design and development.
  • Success in collaborating with engineering partners to define and deliver projects that leverage new technologies and reduce technical debt.
  • Comfortable working with data. Ability to extract, visualize, and communicate business insights from conducted data analysis.
  • Flexibility and adaptability. In a small startup environment, priorities and responsibilities change frequently. You’ll need to learn new things quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a value-driven backlog against competing priorities.
  • Effective organization and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, and self-motivation in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • B2B/operational product management experience.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain & Warehouse Automation practices.
  • Experience with Grocery industry.
  • Familiarity with Jira & Confluence, Google BigQuery and Looker.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders from engineering to business both with and without direct responsibility.
